How to find your sweet spot

Being resilient increases your chances of finding and remaining in your sweet spot.

Everything you do in your life seems to be clicking.

You love the work that you do. You’re learning and growing while contributing to the success of your business. You enjoy your life outside work. You have a great group of friends you love to spend time with. You’re able to get some regular exercise in. You look healthy and fit. You’re able to spend quality time with your family.

Everything is in balance.

Life circles around you. You’re in control of your present and your future. Not the type of control that requires effort and negative energy, but the feeling of control that life is coming to you. You’re pulling the strings in complete alignment with those around you.

You’re in your Sweet Spot.

When you play sports, you’ve heard the term sweet spot. Any tennis player knows how it feels to hit a ball right at the sweet spot. It feels smooth and easy. For a golfer, it’s the flush feeling when the ball leaves your club.

The perfect strike.

But perfect does not exist in sports, and neither does it exist in life. More often than not, a ball leaves the racket or the club outside the sweet spot. Occasionally we have to deal with a miss-hit.

Life works the same way.

Setbacks and low points are part of life. You can try to prevent any of these bad and sad moments from happening, but that’s burying your head in the sand like an ostrich (although this seems to be a myth).

Unexpected moments will happen.

People are not always going to behave and do as they wish. Death and sickness will show in your circle of friends and family.

How you react to and deal with these moments will set you apart from most people. There will always be context, so accept the fact context can’t always be influenced.

Being resilient increases your chances of finding and remaining in your sweet spot.

When you know you don’t get flustered when things don’t go how you want them to, you can use your energy and focus on getting and remaining in your sweet spot.

Many people never get to this point.

They’re not dealing with setbacks well.
And they don’t know where to find their sweet spot.

They’re muddling through life without asking themselves what else could have been possible.

Don’t be that person.

Don’t be that person asking yourself in five or ten years, what if?

There will never be a perfect moment to make the change in your life that you know, deep down inside, will help you create fulfillment in your life.

So start working on finding your sweet spot now.

You may not know where to begin. You may get overwhelmed by fears, setbacks, and consequences running through your head.
